Lord of the Rings 30 Day Challenge
Day 6 - Favourite song
Into the West is my favourite song on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy soundtrack. It is written by Howard Shore, Fran Walsh and Annie Lennox and also performed by Annie Lennox. It is the song played during the credits of The Return of the King and is truly a beautiful song to close the trilogy with.
The song was expressed as an Elvish lament by Galadriel for those who have sailed across the Sundering Sea into the West.
I’ve listened to the song so many times and would love for it to be the song played at my funeral.

Esta sinfonía fue un encargo del Arq. Guillermo Rossell, gobernador de Hidalgo en los años 80s, para usarlo como promoción turística. El tema sirvió para ilustrar el Mundial de Futbol Mexico86.
El corte es maravilloso y sincretiza a la perfección la música rock y los instrumentos musicales tradicionales de nuestro país como el Cuatro o la Jarana. La pieza abre con un teclado que simula levemente una flauta hasta ir evolucionando
El final pletórico de sonidos prehispánicos clausura fastuosamente la sinfonía de 8 mins aprox. Tal vez esté a la altura del “Huapango” de Moncayo o “Sensemeya” de Revueltas. Tal vez sea una de las obras más grandes que ha dado la música contemporánea mexicana. Tal vez sea una muestra innegable del talento de nuestro país. Y podríamos llenar esto de talveces sin saber nunca porqué está en el olvido…

I still remember very clearly that Autumn of 1999 when my sister told me many times: “There’s a videoclip on MTV where there is a Mrs. who dance like you, you have to watch it” hahaha and when finally I saw the video on MTV, I really loved the song and the style of “that Mrs”.
Indeed I used to dance like her in that video… But watching them I never imagined she were so cool, with the sunglasses, a militar suite, her beautiful face and her wrinkles in her mouth! ♥ I loved their music and their style inmediately!!!!!!!
I told myself what a wonderful band, it’s WOW… So I’ll never get tired of saving the world today, because it feels like I’m 17 again ♥
